How long does each psychotherapy session take?

Each session lasts for approximately 60 minutes with the exception of the first session which may take 10 to 15 minutes longer.

How many psychological therapy sessions are recommended?

The number of sessions required mainly depends on the nature and severity of the issue or disorder in question. In order to facilitate long term change, clients are recommended to attend their sessions on a regular basis.

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes. All information discussed are strictly confidential and dealt with the upmost ethical standards. In the event that content involving harm to self or others is shared, I am ethically bound to inform the relevant authorities. This is purely in the interest of the safety and well-being of yourself and the general public.

Are the rates negotiable?

The published rates are generally non-negotiable. If the rates are not affordable for you, do get in touch to work out a payment plan.

How soon can I start noticing results?

Due to the method of psychological interventions, change can be noticed after a few sessions or longer. This depends largely on the type of issue or disorder being targeted. Cognitive and behavioural patterns which have usually been in place for years require time and patience to be modified. Importantly, incorporation of insight from therapy sessions into daily life is essential for positive change to be elicited.
